Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 August 2026
Rum & Sargassum Bridge (Barbados) Inc. (“we”, “us”) operates rumandsargassum.com. This policy explains what we collect through the CNG upgrade pages, why, and what we do with it.
Please read this before signing.
If you sign a Letter of Intent, we may show that signed letter — including your name, contact details and vehicle information — to banks and other financing partners, as evidence that there is real demand for the CNG programme. Securing that financing is what allows the programme to run and keeps the cost of an upgrade down.
Ticking “I have read and agree to the Privacy Policy” when you sign is your agreement to this. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing info@rumandsargassum.com, and we will not include your letter in future.
What we collect
We only collect what you type into one of our forms. We do not buy personal information, and we do not collect it from other sources.
Savings estimator. The calculation runs in your browser. So that we can see how much the estimator is used, we record the figures you put into it — vehicle make and model, fuel type, weekly fuel spend and estimated distance driven — together with the result it gave you. No name, email address, telephone number or anything else identifying you is recorded, and we cannot tell who used it. If you go on to request a quotation, that is a separate step covered below.
Quotation and assessment requests. Your name, email address, telephone number, parish, and details about your vehicle or fleet — year, make, model, engine, fuel type, mileage, fuel spend, where the vehicle is kept overnight, and any notes you add.
Letter of Intent. In addition to the above: your address, town, and your signature, together with the date and the confirmations you tick. We keep a PDF copy of the letter exactly as you signed it.
We do not ask for payment details, card or bank information, or national identification numbers anywhere on this site. Please do not send them to us.
Why we collect it
- To assess whether your vehicle or fleet is suitable for a dual-fuel CNG upgrade
- To prepare your quotation and projected savings
- To contact you about your request
- To keep a record of any Letter of Intent you have signed
- To show demand for the CNG programme to banks and financing partners, where you have signed a Letter of Intent
We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the consent boxes before submitting — including “I have read and agree to the Privacy Policy”, which is what covers showing a signed letter to a bank. Your Letter of Intent is not binding and you may withdraw it at any time.
Who else sees it
- Banks and financing partners. If you have signed a Letter of Intent, we may show that letter — your name, contact details, vehicle details and your signature — to banks and other financing partners, as evidence of demand for the CNG programme. This applies to signed Letters of Intent only. If you have only asked for an assessment or a quotation and have not signed a letter, your details are not shared this way. You may withdraw at any time by emailing info@rumandsargassum.com.
- DocuSign. Letters of Intent are signed electronically. We send your letter, your name and your email address to DocuSign, which emails it to you for signature and returns the signed copy to us. DocuSign holds the signed document and a record of the signing.
- Google. Submissions are stored in Google Drive and Google Sheets, and sent by email, using our Google Workspace account. Google processes this data on our behalf.
- Cloudflare. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated bots. Cloudflare receives technical information about your browser for that check. It does not receive your form answers.
- YouTube. The video on the CNG page is not played until you press play. Until then the page shows only its still image, which your browser loads from YouTube’s image server — so YouTube can tell that a browser at your internet address opened the page. No YouTube cookies are set, and nothing about you or your enquiry is sent, unless you choose to watch the video.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Where your information is held
The services above — DocuSign, Google and Cloudflare — are operated from outside Barbados, mainly in the United States and Europe. Using our forms means your information is stored and processed there. We use established providers who contract to keep it secure and to process it only on our instructions.
How long we keep it
Assessment and quotation enquiries: two years from your last contact with us, unless you become a customer.
Signed Letters of Intent: seven years, as a record of what was signed.
Your rights
You may ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, or delete it. To do any of these, or to withdraw your consent, email info@rumandsargassum.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you may complain to the Data Protection Commissioner of Barbados.
Security
Submissions travel over an encrypted connection and are held in our Google Workspace account, restricted to staff who need access. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you give us.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
