“I saw a wonderful story–and I intend to reach out to them–of the work being done at The University (of the West Indies, Cave Hill) on biofuels, and if this thing is real, we need to be working with them to make it real so that there are more opportunities for people to fill up their cars with biodiesels and biofuels generally,” said Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley, speaking at a town hall in St Thomas on March 28.
Mottley is one of several Caribbean governments who would benefit from a reduced energy bill, a strengthened seaweed industry and increased regional climate resilience. Rum and Sargassum Inc looks forward to working alongside governments, private sector, academia and communities across the region!
